Significant growth in fireworks exports from Hunan Province: According to Changsha Evening News, in the first half of 2025, the export value of fireworks from Hunan Province reached 2.46 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 26.5%, accounting for 59.3% of the national total fireworks export value. Among them, exports from Changsha accounted for over 90% of the province's total. The United States remains the main export market for Hunan's fireworks, while exports to the EU showed a significant growth. In the first half of the year, exports to the EU reached 830 million yuan, an increase of 110.7%. Shanghai Yangshan Port and Waigaoqiao Port are the main export ports, with waterway transportation accounting for over 90%, and air transportation has been newly added for exports.
Strong performance of Liuyang fireworks in overseas markets: As the world's largest production and export base for fireworks, Liuyang enjoys the reputation of "Hometown of Chinese Firecrackers and Fireworks". In the first five months of 2025, the export value of fireworks from Hunan Province reached 1.81 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 17.3%, and the export value from Liuyang reached 1.66 billion yuan, accounting for 91.4% of the province's total export value in the same period. Liuyang fireworks hold 35% of the export share in both the EU and U.S. markets, and are also exported to more than 100 countries and regions worldwide. With the gradual lifting of fireworks consumption bans in Europe, traditional markets such as Germany and the United Kingdom have recovered strongly. Meanwhile, the African market has become a new blue ocean for growth. Liuyang Huanle Fireworks Export Company has reached cooperation with 7 countries including Kenya and South Africa, and it is expected that the export value to the African market will reach 10 million yuan in 2025.
Fruitful results of Jiangxi Fireworks Industry Expo: From May 9th to 11th, the "2025 China (Nanchang) International Fireworks Industry Expo" and a series of industry activities were successfully held at Nanchang Greenland International Expo Center. The event attracted nearly 2,000 enterprises, industry association representatives from more than 20 provinces (municipalities, autonomous regions) across the country, and over 20,000 visitors.
